The BOBs are the world’s largest international Weblog awards for Weblogs, podcasts and videoblogs. The awards are given out in 11 different languages. Arabic, Chinese, German, English, Dutch, French, Indonesian, Persian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish.

The BOBs are organized by Deutsche Welle, Germany’s international public broadcaster. The mission of Deutsche Welle is to “provide a forum in Europe and on other continents on important issues, with the aim of fostering understanding and exchange between cultures and people.” DW broadcasts via radio, television and online in 31 languages. About 1,500 people from more than 60 countries work at DW.
